Our story

About us

When Intercity Food & Nutrition Program was founded in 2020, it was our goal to help in the growing food insecurity crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then we have provided tens of thousands of Houston families with healthy food options. Additionally, we also provide programs and services targeted towards assisting families to meet long-term sustainability through nutritional education, healthcare assistance and securing  state-funded assistance.

IFNP primary goal is to help end hunger, identify and address disparities within our community. We provide fresh produce and other food choices to individuals who are experiencing difficulty feeding themselves or their families.

IFNP is committed to staying on the frontline of putting an end to hunger, by providing scheduled community food distributions, fresh produce to seniors and emergency/disaster food relief.

IFNP’s priorities are fighting food insecurities and partnering with other nonprofits to provide a continuity of resources for families.
